Amounts doctors tested
Kisspeptin dosage: amounts used in watched studies.
These amounts aren't directions. Each applies only to its study group and to how doctors gave the drug.
What no Kisspeptin dosage number can tell you
The studies don't give a standard dose for people. Kisspeptin isn't approved medicine. Every amount below belongs to a closely watched study. The number says what a research team gave that group. It doesn't give you safe directions for home use.
The body clears Kisspeptin-10 quickly, in about 4 minutes. The Kisspeptin-10 effect is brief. Kisspeptin-54 lasts about 27 minutes, and Kisspeptin-54 stays in the blood longer. Doctors call this the half-life, which means the time needed to clear half the drug. Repeated or steady use may make the hormone rise fade within days. Timing shaped the results as much as amount. Researchers tried four ways: a fast amount put into a vein, one steady drip, an under-skin shot, and a spray through the nose.
Kisspeptin dosage used for each study group
Healthy men received Kisspeptin-10 through a vein. The quick amount ranged from 0.3 to 1.0 microgram based on each kilogram of a man's weight. A steady drip gave 1.5 micrograms for every kilogram he weighed each hour [3]. Women with stopped periods received Kisspeptin-54 through a vein. Their Kisspeptin-54 drips ranged from 0.01 to 1.00 nanomoles for every kilogram a woman weighed each hour [5]. A nanomole is an extremely small amount used in lab work.
For egg growth during fertility treatment, women received one Kisspeptin-54 shot beneath the skin. Amounts ranged from 3.2 to 12.8 nanomoles for every kilogram a woman weighed. About 9.6 nanomoles per kilogram gave that trial's best result [6]. Researchers studying sexual response used a vein drip near 1 nanomole per kilogram each hour [8]. Those exact amounts belong to closely watched groups. They can't tell you a safe dose.

What the Kisspeptin half life changes in a study
The Kisspeptin half life means how long your body takes to clear half the drug. Kisspeptin-10 lasts roughly 4 minutes in people [3]. Enzymes in the blood, which break proteins apart, clear Kisspeptin-10 quickly. The larger Kisspeptin-54 form lasts about 27 to 28 minutes.
That gap explains some study choices. Researchers used Kisspeptin-54 when they wanted a steadier effect, such as during fertility treatment. Kisspeptin-10 gave a brief, sharp hormone rise. Kisspeptin-54 remained in the blood longer. Yet a steady drip may make the hormone rise weaken, so a longer stay isn't always better.
What changed after Kisspeptin nasal spray
In 2025, a study tested a Kisspeptin nasal spray. The main amount was 12.8 nanomoles of Kisspeptin-54 based on each kilogram a person weighed. In all three groups, the hormone directing the ovaries or testes rose quickly. The groups included healthy men, healthy women, and women whose periods had stopped. Doctors saw no harm during the short study. Tests found that the spray kept its strength for up to 60 days at 4 degrees C [16].
No earlier human trial had shown an effect through the nose. A nose spray also avoids a needle through your skin. The finding doesn't make the spray an approved product. A clinician considers prescription care for kisspeptin case by case and can refuse a request.
What repeated Kisspeptin use does to the rise
Women with stopped periods received Kisspeptin-54 shots twice daily. The first day's quick hormone rise was about 24 international units per liter of blood. By the fourteenth shot day, that response had greatly shrunk [12]. The effect also weakened during a strong drip into a vein [5].
The sales pitch would be neat: more drug means more effect. The studies don't support it. More time or a larger amount may dull the hormone rise. Kisspeptin-10 also leaves the body quickly. No schedule for home use appears here. A blood test can't predict whether you'll feel better, keep responding, or remain safe.
